Ballistic glazing system · UL 752 Level 7

BallistiMAX.
The round that comes in goes back out.

A laminated ballistic glazing system tested against .308, 5.56 NATO, 12-gauge slug, and 9mm. The BallistiSHOCK reactive layer redirects the remaining energy toward the source. Deployed in schools, sanctuaries, government receptions, and memorials.

Commercial reception lobby with BallistiMAX glazing. Circular stickers on the glass mark the exact locations where rounds were stopped during field testing.

Reception lobby, Tamarac, FL — every sticker marks a round stopped at the glass face.

Rifle round in. Rifle response out.

A field demonstration of the BallistiSHOCK reactive layer. The glass holds. The energy does not get trapped — it returns, in kind, to the source.

How it works

Energy doesn't stop. It gets redirected.

Ordinary bullet-resistant glazing absorbs and traps. The laminate soaks the round and the building takes the hit. BallistiMAX absorbs, and the BallistiSHOCK layer sends the remaining energy back at the source. A 5.56 rifle round comes in; shrapnel returns toward the shooter at roughly 1,700 feet per second. A 12-gauge slug comes in; a matched shotgun-class response goes back out. The threat level that comes in is the threat level that goes back out.

The longer an event lasts, the worse it gets. BallistiMAX shortens events by making the opening dangerous to attack.

Detection at the door. Glazing at the opening.

BallistiMAX and BallistiSCAN are specified together in most full-envelope projects. The walk-through at the entrance reads who comes in. The glazing holds if someone decides to try anyway.
